How much sleep do you need? It depends but there is a difference between getting just enough sleep to make it through the day versus getting enough sleep to function optimally- mentally sharp and physically strong. The general rule of thumb is that healthy adults should be getting a range of 7-9 hours of sleep while children and teens definitely more.
